Before getting to my topic for this post, I’d like to take a minute to make some important announcements! First, I’m very excited to let you know I have a new book coming out entitled “The Intuitive Guide to Extraordinary Success in Life and Business.” It will soon be available at Amazon, both in book form and also on Kindle, and will also be available on the Resources page at my website, http://www.LifeYourWayCoaching.com, so stay tuned for the upcoming release date.
Second, my website is presently in the process of being converted to a custom WordPress site and will have some great new features, one of which will be my “in-house” blog where all my posts will soon be located. Please watch for a post on this blog announcing dates for release of my new book and also the launch of the new website where you’ll find my latest posts and also an archive of recent posts as well as other great content and my services.
And now, let’s get to today’s topic: leadership.
Have you over the course of time questioned whether or not you are a leader? Perhaps you think you are but you haven’t claimed it or made it known?
Do you have something you bring to people that helps them grow and expand, improves their perception of themselves, and helps them stand out, shine, or move to the next level and take action that most would not take?
Do you teach them the key elements of being the best they can be, becoming who they are to become, and seeing their life and the world from a higher or perhaps more sophisticated perspective than they used to?
When I earned my first coaching credential and put myself out there for the whole world to see, I considered myself a professional life coach.
But as time progressed and I gave more consideration and hence more credence to my coaching qualities and life experience in addition to my professional training, I began to reassess what it is that I bring to my clients.
In other words, what was the one thing that was clearly notable about what I offer them? What I discovered is that in addition to professional coaching skills, I offer them leadership.
During that discovery process, I asked myself these two questions:
1) What experience and qualities do I bring to people that set me apart or raise the bar? and
2) What results do I see because of them?
And after giving it considerable thought, I came to these conclusions:
1) I am helping my clients succeed at making major life changes and shifts and have been a good leader as well as coach by helping them come to their own critical realizations and conclusions that allow them to take action and reach their highest potential; and
2) I see people own who they are and what they want, move forward, claim and create the life and lifestyle they want, and ultimately shift to a whole new level of thinking, action, achievement, and fulfillment.
Being a leader then doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be the CEO of a large company or perhaps the dean of a well-known university.
It can also mean that what you bring to people in any position, whether personal or professional, is provided not only through your professional training but also through your effective leadership qualities and your own life experience.
So, if you want to consider yourself a leader either personally or professionally but aren’t sure how to make the determination that you are one, ask yourself the two questions I mentioned above. It may just be that you, too, will discover the presence of your own significant leadership qualities and life experience that prove to you that you are in fact the leader you thought you were.
. . . And, of course, be sure then to let your leadership qualities be known and make your mark. This will in turn allow others to make theirs!
“Leadership is lifting a person’s vision to high sights, the raising of a person’s performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations.” ~ Peter Drucker
To your success, fulfillment, and happiness. . .
